Spring Break Essentials ’21

I don’t know about y’all but this spring break was very much needed on my end. We’re at that point in the semester where we’re so close to being done, but we’re also drowning in work and assignments. I spent most of my days doing zoom classes and chilling in 50 degree bay area weather. I was in need of some vitamin-D and a tan. Even though with COVID still around, our spring breaks may look a little different right now, but we still deserve a break and some sunshine.

Whether you’ve just started your break or it just ended, my spring break essentials are items you can use all spring and summer long that will keep you chic, fresh, and fab.

Floral Dresses

Florals for spring, groundbreaking

Seriously though there’s a reason why florals come back year round and it’s definitely a spring staple. They’re cute and chic. Flowy dresses are also perfect for when the temps start to get hotter. My dress is from 2Bella Boutique, but i’ll be linking similar dresses below at the end of this post!

Fun Colored Sunglasses

When I think of spring, I think of bright fun colors. Sunglasses are a fun spring and summer staple that can change up any outfit. Play around with some interesting and colorful shades this year, especially some trending spring colors such as pastels. These are Ray Ban shades in the style ‘Nina’ they have different colors and I got the purple ones! My other most worn pair are green sunglasses from French Connection that I actually found at Marshall’s! I’ll be linking both at the end of this post.

Baggy Denim

As the weather gets warmer, you’re not going to want to continue wearing skinny denim or tight jeans. Spring weather is usually that in-between of hot and cold and baggy denim is perfect for spring. You can still cover up without feeling like you’re overheating since there’s enough room with wide leg pants.

Cream Bronzer

I love cream products for when the weather gets warmer. If you’re experiencing a spring break by the beach or sitting poolside, you’ll definitely want that bronzed glow. Milk makeup has one of the easiest and best cream bronzers I’ve tried so far. I love how it blends easily and travels well. I use shade ‘Baked’

Sandal Heels

Amp up your regular flat sandlas for a small heel. These are great for dinners or just dressing up your outfit a bit more. What I love about the sandal heels is that the heel is wide and short, so they don’t hurt your feet. These are from Nordstrom Rack and they are the brand Dolce Vita. They’re squishy and the material doesn’t blister my feet like some shoes.

Fake Tanner

Since we’re coming out of winter, some of us may be pale and in need of a tan. I see fake tanner as spring break staple since it’s a good transition out of winter product before you really start hitting some rays in the summer. I love using St. Tropez for most of my tanning products and I have a blog post you can read here for additional tanning products and tips I use for fake tanning.

Bucket Hat

Ok, I used to hate this trend but now that I’ve tried it I think it’s such a fun accessory to have this season. I see bucket hats as very fun and playful closet staples that will add some pop to your outfit. I love them especially for being poolside or beachside since it’s fabric material won’t get ruined in water. My hat is from Steve Madden and it comes in other colors as well. I scored it at a Marshalls! I’m telling you guys, don’t sleep on Marshalls!

Hey guys it’s been a while since I’ve posted! I really wanted to get on my normal Thursday scheduling but life keeps getting in the way. I’m currently going through something a bit personal and I need some time to be away from social media. I’m not going to let hard situations get in the way of what I love to do and living my life, but I just need some time to heal and feel better to get back to my constant posting. I will be posting here and there, but just not as often as I’d like to for now. I love you all and hope to see you soon for my next post. <3
