How to Style Your Face Masks

Who said face masks can’t be stylish?

It’s almost been a year since life took a pause in March and spiraled into this crazy new normal. Since then, face masks have been a wardrobe essential and necessity. We’ll most likely be continuing to wear masks for a while but it doesn’t have to be boring! The fashion world loves to make essentials a statement and there has been so many stylish masks out there that should be added to your collection. Heart + Wonder Designs have some of the cutest face masks ever that just fit right. To make it even better, they are a women owned business that focuses on sustainability! So, all the masks are sustainable and are made of imported fabrics that are just stunning. I was lucky enough to get some of these masks and style them!

Whatever the occasion is, here are some inspo and tips to use so you can prove to others you can be responsible, stylish, and safe!

You can never go wrong with a matching moment. Pairing all the same colors always looks put together and chic. I especially love this nude one, because I LOVEEE wearing neutrals.

Match Similar Patterns

My mask has a honey comb/polka dot design and I love how it matches the polka dots on my blouse. I think matching or even playing around with mixing different patterns can really give your look a pop!

Match Textures (Sequin On Sequin)

Wearing sequin is not only for special occasions! I paired my mask with a sequin top and I love the idea of matching textures. We always talk about matching colors and patterns, but textures is next level! I really think matching textures amps up the look.

Wear Look-Alike Accessories

Your mask doesn’t have to always match your clothes specifically. Match it with statement accessories. Accessories can play a key role in your outfit and we all got to start seeing our masks as accessories at this point. The thought of it as an accessory makes styling it more fun and you’ll be safe! I matched my headband with my mask and it pulls it all together so well.

Create Color Schemes

Color schemes are a combination of colors that usually work well together. Have fun when combining your colors in your outfits and masks. I chose to use a dark green dress with pops of color and matched it with gold boots which matched my sequin mask!

Add a Mask Chain

Not only are these actually super handy to have, but they look so stylish. They elevate any look and make an outfit look sophisticated and chic. You also would never lose your mask if you added a chain to it LOL
